OTA Update Basic Course

Overview

Due to the revision of safety standards for road transport vehicles in January 2021, regulations regarding cybersecurity and software updates(※) will be introduced and compliance with these regulations will become mandatory. In response to this, it is becoming mandatory to introduce software updates via OTA (Over The Air: sending and receiving data via wireless communication).

In this course, we will cover the background of the above regulations and "Uptane", one of the OTA frameworks, and learn the basics of OTA Updates, as well as Uptane's functions and security measures approach.

*Cybersecurity regulations: UN-R155, software update regulations: UN-R156
