As interest in Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs) and autonomous driving continues to grow, an increasing number of players are working to create environments that support these technologies. To ensure that Japan’s mobility industry remains globally competitive while addressing social challenges, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is promoting the formation of cross-industry ecosystems. As part of this effort, we conduct interviews with those leading these initiatives and experts across various fields, highlighting their expectations for the future, current challenges, on-the-ground discussions, and the latest outcomes.
